Guild Wars 2 Firebrand

Guild Wars 2's August 2 update listed many changes, mainly focusing on Balance Updates. Still, another update has been scheduled for August 23 to address some of the other, lingering issues. While there are a lot of updates that impact all game modes, the focus for the August 23 update will mainly be on PvE gameplay.

The first thing that has been addressed is the improvement to core weapon tuning and the number of viable core weapon choices across many professions in PvE. The changes here should help reduce the performance gap between players using suboptimal and optimal weapons. In addition, changes have been made to improve damage builds. Changes have been made to some elite specialization weapons and traits to make various builds more competitive. Here are a few: Power Tempest, Condition Tempest, Power Weaver, Power Scrapper, Power Holosmith, Power Dragonhunter, Power Reaper, Power Herald, Power Vindicator, Power Daredevil, and much more.

Next, changes have been made to improve support diversity. As of now, Firebrand and Healing Mechanist are dominating group compositions. Druids will now have increased access to those boons as well, and stability and aegis will be added to Tempest’s shouts. There are also changes coming to make targeted reductions to stability and might uptime on Firebrand and Mechanist builds.

If players would like to read more on the changes coming to Elementalist, Weaver, Tempest, Engineer, Scrapper, Mechanist, Guardian, and more, please check out the full list of changes coming to Guild Wars 2 on August 23 here.
