Cards for the Card God: Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf
In the most recent episode of the Free-to-Play Podcast, MMOBomb cast members talked about what genre they felt may be the next "big thing" in 2014. Strategy was one of the top contenders, be it in real time or turn-based. Today, the strategy roster for 2014 grows yet again as Games Workshop has announced a new 3D turn-based strategy based on the Warhammer 40K universe.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a collectible card game where players will be able to build their own decks and participate in turn-based battles. The cards themselves will function as orders for your space marines who will be represented in-game with actual 3D models and environments. After winning a match players will unlock new weapons, bonuses and cards to continue improving their deck and units.
HeroCraft, the developers behind Space Wolf are also providing players with a single player campaign containing branching storylines set against the Word Bearers and Necrons. Players will get the chance to choose between the Grey Hunter, Wolf Scout, Blood Claw, or Wolf Guard strategic paths, each presenting their own tactics and style of play.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf will launch in 2014 on iOS, Android and PC.
