Carve Up The Terrain In War Thunder's New Update
Take cover in a bomb crate or dig your own trenches.
It's morphin' time in War Thunder -- and no, that's got nothing to do with a Power Rangers tie-in. The latest update, Ground Breaking, adds "terramorphing," or the capability for the land itself to be reshaped based on events that occur during a match. Bombs will leave craters based on their size, while some tanks have a plow-like attachment on their front that can carve massive trenches or pile up dirt or sand to provide an improvised fortification.
Israeli war vehicles are on the way in the next update; for now, players can snag two packs with premium aircraft and get access to the upcoming closed beta test. All together, there are 10 new aircraft, 11 new ground vehicles, and two new ships provided in this update.
Three new maps have been added for this update -- Aral Sea, Vyborg Bay, and Urban Island -- and graphical improvements include swirling sand and dust for desert landscapes and better fire and explosion effects for ground vehicles. Check out everything that the Ground Breaking update has to offer on the War Thunder site.
