Black Desert Online Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day has arrived in Black Desert Online and, of course, someone’s out to ruin it in the worst possible way – by stealing chocolate. A goblin hanging out in monster zones is the culprit and once caught he will drop a “Chocolate Basket”. Players who manage to get the basket back can open it to get some goodies, including Cron Stones and an Item Collection Increase Scroll.

Of course, players aren’t the only ones wanting chocolate. NPCs in Santo Manzi, Crio, and Bahar would really like to have some of their own. Specifically, they’d like “Chocolates Full O’ Love” made by the players.

To make the chocolates, players will need to complete various activities and get the ingredients. Giving the NPCs chocolates will increase the players’ Amity with them. Those who manage to get more than 1,000 Amity points with them will earn special rewards determined by the NPC.

Players can also show appreciation for each other during this event, which ends February 22, by sending love letters to other adventurers. The recipient of the letter will receive a Sweet Chest, a Sweet Reply, and a Dark Chocolate. The chest will drop a random reward, the sweet reply is just an easy way to send something back, and Dark Chocolate will give players Energy Recovery +20.

If you’ve suffered just a bit too much love, that’s okay. Pearl Abyss has something to fix that. The new and improved Node War. Between February 10 and February 24, the devs will be dropping a series of videos on the game’s YouTube channel detailing everything players need to know about the refreshed mode.
