Over A Year Later, Spider-Man Finally Swings Into Marvel Avengers As New Raid Is Added In Today’s Update
The update also introduces the game’s first Power Level increase.
Marvel Avengers players get their first taste of high-level end game content today, with the release of the new Klaw Raid: Discordant Sound. The raid is part of an update that introduces a Power Level increase to 175, which includes the ability to upgrade gear with a Power Level of 100+, or any gear with an epic rarity or higher. Gear upgrading has also been changed to streamline it, making it so that players only need Fragments, upgrade modules, and an unwanted higher-level piece of gear to get it done.
As for the new raid, Discordant Sound takes players into Mena Ngai, the Great Mound. The raid takes place after the events of War for Wakanda and there’s a new problem. Corrupted Vibranium has taken over the Great Mound and is spreading through Wakanda. This means the return of the Sonic Monster Klaw. When players head to Mena Ngai, they’ll find it filled with Klaw’s minions and entry to the mines barred by a sonic barrier. To deal with this threat, players will team up with Wakanda’s elite and take on new enemies, solve new puzzles, and more.
As noted, the update is available as of today, but if you’re one of those folks that would like to know everything you’re in for, you’re in luck. There’s a War Table Deep Dive you can watch. Oh, yes, and for you PlayStation folks: Spider-Man has (finally) arrived.
