Defiance Devs Knew It Wouldn’t Be Easy To Bring Back A Game After 4 Years, But They’ve Already “Sorted The Major Problems”
Other things are still being addressed.
While fans who were missing Defiance should be pleased that the game has returned, we all know that it had issues. And after four years, there would be technical issues related to relaunching the F2P shooter. So, with the game having (re)launched only 2 weeks ago, it makes sense that the developers are having to put in some serious work.
The good news, according to a post on the game’s Discord (shared by MassivelyOP), the dev team has “sorted the major problems”. These problems apparently include login issues, disconnections, and the like. Other issues are still being worked on.
Also in the works are things like changing how DLCs work. Once it’s done, gameplay content will all be free, and cosmetic items will be store purchases. The team is predicting that the first free DLC will drop next week. Also noted is that some ‘scheduled’ content that used to be available in the game is missing, and that they will address it as well.
