E3 2019: Dauntless Sailing For Switch, Surpasses 10 Million Players
Phoenix Labs' Dauntless is already on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and soon it will be headed to a new frontier -- Nintendo's Switch handheld. Fans at E3 right now are able to play the monster-hunting title at the show, while the rest of us will need to wait until later in 2019 to get our hands on it. As with all versions of Dauntless, the Switch version will be cross-play compatible with the game on other platforms.
In addition to the Switch news, Phoenix Labs announced that Dauntless has surpassed 10 million total players since its full launch on May 21. At GDC in March, PR Manager Andy Burt said that he believed Dauntless could triple its player base of three million with the move to Epic Games Store, so it looks like he got that right. Then again, Burt is who sent us the press release boasting of the 10 million players, so hmmm.
