Enlisted Pacific Ocean Update

Today, Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment dropped a new update for their war game, Enlisted. The update, titled “Pacific Ocean”, introduces a new campaign to the game featuring real-world battles recreated in the game. Players will use amphibious tanks to make beach landings, rely on air support from aircraft carriers, and engage in battle both on foot and using armored vehicles.

For the first time ever, the Japanese Army will appear in the game, allowing players access to weapons and vehicles they haven’t had before. This includes Arisaka rifle modifications, Zero fighter planes, and Ha-Go light tanks.

The update also includes new equipment of US design such as the Australian Owen Mk. 1-42 submachine gun and the M13 MGMC self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. Of course, as aircraft carriers were used heavily in the Japanese theater, they’re also featured heavily in this update, along with hydroplanes. From carriers, players will be able to provide air support for others. The carriers are also used as a base for players to refill ammunition and take on repairs. Both Japanese and US forces have a primary carrier in the update – Shokaku and Saratoga, respectively.

On an additional note, players can expect performance improvements with this update. Enlisted now runs at 120 FPS in Native 4K on Xbox Series X. It also features a variable refresh rate to allow players to play comfortably on the most recent consoles, both PlayStation and Xbox. As for the last gen’s consoles, the developers are working to ensure the game runs at 60 FPS cleanly.
