EverQuest II Gets Its First New Player Race In Five Years As Expansion Goes Live
A new, catlike race is now available in EverQuest II as part of the game's 17th expansion, Reign of Shadows. The Vah Shir are a tribal race distrustful of outsiders and opposed to both spell work and the written word. Players who choose to play as the Vah Shir can play as some of the warrior, bard, shaman, rogue, and animalist classes.
Aside from the new playable character, the Reign of Shadows update adds new prestige advancement points and abilities, increases maximum guild level to 350, adds a new content-driven guild leveling mechanism, and adds new raid content. It also makes various changes to the game's UI, quests, and more. The full rundown is in the patch notes on the game's site.
