Fallout 76 Celebrates Reaching 13.5 Million Players In 2022 And Speaks On Content Growth For The Game
"Fallout 76 has grown significantly over the past year."
Bethesda has published a "Fallout 76: A Look Back At 2022" blog on their website that essentially displays an infographic of community results and content brought to the game this year. The biggest takeaway is that Fallout 76 has "grown significantly over the past year," reaching 13.5 million players in 2022.
Thanks to The Expeditions: The Pitt, Nuka-World on Tour, and other updates throughout the year, Bethesda reached that number. But also initiatives to enhance the game with quality-of-life features such as Corpse Highlighting, Local Looting, free camera controls for building, and more, caused the player experience to improve. Through an array of rotating seasonal additions, unlocking new cosmetics and other rewards likely kept players invested in the game, too.
Following the impressive player metric was a slew of numbers on specific enemy kills, caps spent at shops, dropped nukes, and so on. Some interesting bits from the infographic were the fan-favorite region for camps being The Forest and the Thumbs Up emote as the most popular among players.
Bethesda didn't share any deets on what 2023 will bring but seems to have something cooking for next year.
