Fortnitemares Are Coming, Along With Customization And Leaderboards In Battle Royale
With less than a week to spare, Epic Games is getting into the Halloween spirit in Fortnite and also adding some much-requested features in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
The Fortnitemares update adds a new stormscape, "Vlad Moon Rising," because regular zombies -- I mean, husks -- weren't spooky enough. The update adds the Pumpkin Head Husk and Vampire Taker as new baddies, and several of the game's heroes are cosplaying as ghouls and ghosts.
Over in Battle Royale mode, you can now customize your character, thanks to the new Locker menu, which should come as a big "yay" to anyone tired of their stock looks. Leaderboards and Seasons have also been added, so you can track your dominance over your foes and compare to your friends.
There's a lot more to be found in the patch notes, including seasonal weapons and some changes to rewards that might make the inventory better or not; with Fortnite, it's hard to say. Check out all the new content tomorrow, Oct. 26.
