gamigo Forms Launch Department To Facilitate Future Acquisitions "For International Publishing"
Fractured Online first title to be overseen by new department.
gamigo doesn't look like it's done making purchases. The game developer and publisher announced today that it is forming "a new launch department as part of the publisher's strategy to expand its roster of titles and enter new markets." Its purpose is to support gamigo's strategy of picking up new properties, like the recently acquired Fractured Online, and providing support to its developer partners.
Heading up the division are Publishing Director Marcus Behrens, who previously filled the same role at Kalypso Media and was Head of Publishing at Bigpoint; and Marketing Director Marc Berekoven, who's held executive-level positions at 4Players, NCSoft Europe and ZeniMax Europe.
gamigo CEO Jens Knauber welcomed the pair, saying that his company "can't wait to announce the new titles for our expanding games lineup, adding new gameplay experiences and new audiences to our strong portfolio of existing online and mobile games."
