Another company is offering up free copies of a game to help people stay entertained while they’re (hopefully) keeping themselves at home. Apparently, developer Amplitude Studios and publisher Sega have received plenty of requests from players regarding their upcoming game Humankind. Unfortunately, the game isn’t ready yet, so they’ve opted to give everyone something else instead.

Beginning today — and running through March 30th, strategy game fans can pick up a free copy of Endless Legend via Steam. This is the base copy, so (for the most part) expansions will cost you. Although they are discounted by up to 78% at the moment.

That said, there is one other additional bit of free content related to the game you can snag during this time. You’ll just need to go to the Games2Gether site to get it. The Guardians Expansion Pack is available via the Games2Gether reward page. (Yes, you will need an account on the site.)

Both of these items are yours to keep as long as you acquire them within the allotted time period. This isn’t one of those “play it for free for a limited time” things. So, if strategy games are your thing, I’d go ahead and grab them.

  1. Like people have been comment. The so call “base game” which isn’t really a base game. On steam there is online 1 base version and it called ” Endless legend- emperor edition” and it’s NOT free. It’s free 2 play for the weekend though.

As the result, you can’t get the free DLC because you don’t have the base game.

  2. Misleading it is not free and there is no longer a “base” game only the emperor edition which is 75% off. Game still cost 8 dollars.
