Grab A Free Copy Of Total War: SHOGUN 2 Starting Monday, April 27
RTS fans looking for something to keep them entertained while they hide from Rona are now in luck. Today, SEGA and Creative Assembly announced they will be giving away free copies of Total War: Shogun 2 to players in to help encourage them to stay home and help save lives. (That's kinda the hashtag... #StayHomeSaveLives)
For those unfamiliar with the game, Total War: Shogun 2 is an RTS/turn-based strategy game set in Feudal Japan. Imagine the empires of Fukushima and Hitachi, epic samurai battles, spies, assassins, and more. The game promises hundreds of hours of gameplay. So if this is your thing, it should help make the whole social isolation thing a bit easier.
To get the free copy you'll need to hit up Steam on Monday. At the same time, a general sale of other Total War historical games and DLC will be under way. Shogun 2 will be the only free offering, and not all games in the Total War series will be on sale, so you'll need to watch for that if you're interested in getting anything else. A rundown of what is and isn't included in the promotion can be found in the FAQ.
