Guild Wars 2 Introduces Free In-Game Items Hoping To Raise Awareness For Suicide Prevention Month
Okay, so this isn't your normal, "Yay! Free goodies in game X," post. Although, if you play Guild Wars 2, you are getting some free in-game items. Since September is Suicide Prevention Month, the GW2 team is offering players a few free items specific to the event. This includes a cosmetic t-shirt and a potion designed to promote the "Seize the Awkward" campaign.
The Seize the Awkward campaign is a collaboration between the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, The Jed Foundation, and the Ad Council designed to encourage people to reach out to friend who might be struggling with their mental health. Details on the campaign and Guild Wars 2's part in it are available on the GW2 site.
The t-shirt is a return item, and some of you may alrady have it from February's Friend/Ships event. But, if you don't, now is a good time to unlock it.
