Hearthstone Patch 32.2.2 Introduces New Mini-Set And Battlegrounds Changes
The Into the Emerald Dream Mini-Set, Embers of the World Tree, features 38 new cards.
The 32.2.2 patch for free-to-play card game Hearthstone dropped today, and it introduces the Into the Emerald Dream Mini-Set, Embers of the World Tree — featuring 38 new cards, including 4 Legendary, 2 Epic, 16 Rare, and 16 Common cards.
Over in Battlegrounds though, this update focuses on balancing gameplay by enhancing underperforming compositions and adjusting dominant strategies, particularly Tavern spell Mechs and End-of-Turn Elementals. Changes include strengthening Tavern-buff Elemental cards and reintroducing Kangor's Apprentice to the minion pool.
Additionally, several Trinkets have been updated, such as Gem Donation now affecting the three highest-Tier minions in the Tavern, and Cliffdiver Sticker providing increased buffs. There’s a rule change too that ensures that the Greater Trinket slot always offers an untyped Trinket, aiming to create more consistent gameplay experiences.
Patch 32.2.2 also addresses various bug fixes and game improvements. The minimum iOS version requirement has been increased to iOS 14.0, for example. And, adjustments to the Dark Gift keyword prevent applying certain effects to minions that already possess specific keywords, and changes to evolve/devolve mechanics refine minion transformations based on mana costs.
