It’s Been A While, But Another Beta Test Is Underway For Guild Wars 2’s Push PvP Mode
Players are even receiving bonuses for helping with the test.
Guild Wars 2 PvP fans might have been wondering what happened to the 5v5 Push PvP mode following the test back in September. As it turns out, folks seemed to like it, despite it being a very early and rough version of what it could be. And they liked it enough for ArenaNet to continue working on it.
So, this week, another beta test of the mode kicked off in the MMORPG. The test is underway now and lasts until May 27 at noon Pacific time. To encourage players to take part, the devs are hosting a bonus event that will reward participants with additional rewards.
As for the test itself, it features a new map built with feedback from the last test in mind. That said, the map is still rough art-wise. But the devs feel the layout is good enough to warrant more feedback. The test also features an updated secondary objective, as feedback on the secondary objective in the earlier test was negative. In addition, the team has decided to use mechanics from the Skyhammer conquest map for this test. They’ve also implemented the first run of what is intended to become the scoreboard UI for the mode.
Of course, the team is still looking for feedback on this test. To facilitate that, they’ve included a link to the forum feedback thread in the announcement post.
