Jagex Abruptly Shuts Down Chronicle: RuneScape Legends
Another CCG bites the dust. Today, it's Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, Jagex's entry into the fray, whose fate we first learned about back in May. Today, the Chronicle account tweeted out the news that the game was gone, its first communication since announcing the shutdown three months ago:
The adventure ends today. As mentioned a few months ago, it's with great sadness that we have to bid farewell to Chronicle, effective as of now.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who has enjoyed it over the last two years – it wouldn’t have been the same without you guys.

Back then, we couldn't access the blog link that made the announcement and that just links to the Jagex site now, as does the main website link. It's a pretty abrupt end for a game that, all things considered, wasn't too bad, but still hadn't even managed triple-digit players on Steam since December 2016. It also had its own launcher, whose numbers aren't accounted for, but considering how big a deal RuneScape still is, a low-tier card game simply wasn't enough to be worth Jagex's time -- or even proper communication regarding its fate.
