RuneScape Shares Video Detailing “Ambitious Series Of Content Updates”
The roadmap video reveals plans to take the game into its next era.

As RuneScape celebrates 25 years in action, Jagex is busy planning the next stage of the MMORPG’s life. Today, the developer dropped a nearly half-hour-long roadmap for 2026, revealing their plans for the year, including an “Integrity Roadmap” titled “The Road to Restoration”.
Jagex describes this as a “commitment from the studio to tackle the game’s biggest and most requested quality-of-life improvements”. The objective is both to keep current players happy and bring more on. The improvement includes UI and visual upgrades, improvements to combat, API plugin support, and more. Players can also look forward to a refresh of character avatars, including updates to models, animation, and styles, as well as the release of the largest area expansion in the game’s history: Havenhythe. There will also be updates to the game’s housing system that offer players more control over their homes. All the details on these and other plans can be found in the video below.
