Kakao Offers ArcheAge Players A Look At What’s To Come In 2022
In the plans is the Great Prairie of the West region among other things.
Kakao Games is currently hard at work on ArcheAge’s 2022 content. In fact, they’ve got so much going on between the Korean and North American versions that they announced the first update of the year will be released a bit behind their normal schedule, coming out at the end of March instead.
When the update does arrive, it will introduce higher grade cloaks and make some changes to the Auroria region. The new cloaks are the first in quite a while. Remember, the last ones were dropped in 2019. As for the region changes, factions are currently fighting over Jola, Glenn, and Meina in both the Sungold Fields and Exeloch of Auroria. To make things even more exciting, the devs have implemented a system that will make the region a war zone when raid monsters show up.
The March update will also introduce quality of life changes. These include changing a currently existing one-way system that has allowed players to add others without their agreement to view their online status. On the upside, said system couldn’t offer up the registeree’s current location. But it’s still not exactly cool. When the change is made, the system is being changed to a Friend system that will require both players to agree for anything to happen.
In June, players will be able to access a whole new region, the Great Prairie of the West. This region is one of the Firran’s eternal lands, a place – along with the Plains Eye mountain – that they consider their homeland. In fact, according to their legends, the mountain is where the Sun Father bestowed upon the Firran the right to live in the prairie. Here, players will find ruins that were once the base belonging to the Epherium kingdom during the subjugation of the Firran. It’s also a place where the blood of the Firran lost in battle has combined with strange energies to create even stranger phenomena.
In additional ArcheAge news, the team dropped a small patch yesterday, mostly consisting of bug fixes and a couple of class tweaks. The patch notes are available on the game’s site. One other bit of news is that the “A Shy Request” has been delayed until (hopefully) next week due to a licensing issue.
