Krafton Announces COMPETZ, Where You Can Win At Well-known PvP Games To Earn Cryptocurrency

PUBG and other Krafton titles not part of the system (yet).

When we last heard from Krafton, the PUBG: Battlegrounds and TERA developer and publisher said that it had partnered with blockchain company Solana "for the design and marketing of blockchain/NFT (non-fungible token) games and services." That announcement didn't provide any details as to what kinds of "games or services" it would spawn -- or if it would impact Krafton's existing library or be limited to new games -- but a press release today shed some additional light on exactly what the company has in mind.

Krafton subsidiary RisingWings has announced COMPETZ, described as "a blockchain-based esports service where players can compete and earn rewards based on their skills and experiences." COMPETZ will include well-known titles like Solitaire, Bingo, Pool, and Mini Golf. Players can bet on themselves for a prize pool that can be converted into cryptocurrency on the BORA blockchain platform.

The COMPETZ website includes a roadmap that includes three rounds of NFT profile picture minting, beginning in April. Bingo and Solitaire will release globally by the end of June, with other games to follow.

Regardless of your opinion of COMPETZ, at least it doesn't affect Krafton's other titles -- yet. But it's not hard to see a future where, if COMPETZ does well, Krafton implements some kind of "bet on yourself/your team" cryptocurrency-rewarding function into PUBG, which will surely be well-received by players.

Gaming is being onslaughtered with this.(mistake are deliberate)
An example a wannabe space game, star al...something, sells in its own nft players bought in thinking rich quick, they fell right into the trap. their pixel ships are worth 1/2 to 3/4, to nothing what all these gamblers paid for it. they are losers.
You have to be mad blind or brain dead not to read the warning signs. you are gambling, not gaming. You LOSE. you become a gambler.not a gamer.
We are gamers, We are not gambles.
Just think of players who lost thousands even millions, through these made up games with nfts copycats. Look over at the real market they lost 100's of billions last mth!!, how quiet were they ?...very.
FACT: Your investing into nothing.
Gaming is not nothing. Gaming has been restrained by gambling as it is a separate thing and seen that way, what is happening now is a total disregard of the barriers built, Its an engulfment into gaming trying to saturate us..
Gaming is for fun.
Gaming isn't a worry about money that you just blindly lost or are losing everyday..
Crypto to you = no power will you ever have.
Remember crypto is now built upon a made up name, anyone can start up,
Crypto is about the first,
The creator this person is top of PYRAMID.
This person makes the most cash VERY quickly not you.

Block NFT's & Crypto from gaming.
Governments need to set new gambling laws blocking the block chains from strangling us in gaming..
its the kids, the youth & every vulnerable person out there. i know about gambling, and today there seems to be a untold amount of victims who just do not know.,

Gamers unite. :)
