League Of Legends Killed Off A Champion
Had a hard day at work? Want to just come home and enjoy some League of Legends with your favorite pirate-themed champion, Gangplank? Well, tough luck, suckers -- he's dead.
No, really.
What's up? Turns out that Riot's lorehounds have been hard at work lately on a multi-part story centering around the city of Bilgewater, a.k.a. pirate central, and in the latest installment, Gangplank was forced into retirement, pirate-style -- and we don't mean he got a gold watch and can now access his 401(k).
Some of Riot's editorial staff expressed their views on the pirate's passing:
I'm so happy he's dead. #gangplank

If we disable a champion due to a bug, we will tell you. Gangplank is actually dead

So what does this mean for Gangplank players, who may have invested a lot of money and time into the character? Honestly, there's about zero chance that this is a permanent change, and, as you can see above, there's already a ghostly Gangplank skin. So if you're a bit of a salty dog about these changes, just hold the course and keep sailing on until you strike land -- or maybe a bloated, re-animated corpse.

Like if you can't play him any more and you spent money on a skin for him... I don't know seems like Riot took stupid pills or something.
In either case I play HotS now so it's not a loss for me.
