Lightmare Studios Announces Infinity Wars Free Demo
It may be a little weird to hear that a free-to-play trading card game is offering a free demo, but when the game isn't actually ready to officially release yet you still want players to get their hands on it, it's a good compromise. It's also an effective way to keep your game in people's minds while you're working to finish it.
Currently, Lightmare Studio's upcoming TCG Infinity Wars is still in early access pre-alpha. They wanted to offer players a way to get a taste of what they're working on while they wait. So, the dev team came up with a free demo via Steam. All players need to do is download the demo the way they would any Steam game. While the game isn't complete, it will allow players to try out some pre-made decks, including the deck "Daft Draft" that will be used by Patreon supporters in a tournament this weekend.
In addition to the free demo, Lightmare Studios also announced a new type of collectible card called "Stamped". These cards will have a stamp on them noting events such as tournament participation, pre-orders, and more. They're on par with foil cards, unless you have a stamped foil card (which may or may not be a thing, apparently).
