Thirty-seven updates and counting!

In Update 37, a new crafting event for The Lord of the Rings Online called the Combe Forester Event is introduced, marking the beginning of a series of profession-based crafting events in the MMORPG. This event is set in the town of Combe and overseen by Mason Thorne and Old Bauman. Players can participate in various forestry-related challenges, including woodcutting, beast skinning, and carrying cabers after consuming a local brew.

The main motivations for joining this event are prizes, of course (besides fun and glory). Contestants can earn ribbons that can be exchanged with Old Bauman for a wide range of rewards, including cosmetic outfits, emotes, skills, a modifiable Forester's Axe, titles, traits, recipes, and a new crafting item with future implications.

Every participant is recognized for their efforts, whether they win or not, and ribbons earned can be used to acquire rewards in future events as well. Additionally, the event introduces new forester tools that offer a glimpse of an upcoming improvement to the crafting system that’s set to debut in Update 38. These tools can be visually customized and enhanced with effects. The event is available for participation daily, accessible with Mithril Coins, and follows a recurring schedule with brief closures, ensuring players can engage with it regularly.
