Mobile Game Developer Nyou Jumps Into MMO Development With Bellatores
The medieval-themed game will run on Unreal Engine 5.
It may seem lately that we sometimes hear more about traditional PC or console developers hopping into the mobile pool – or perhaps mobile devs bringing their game to the other platforms, but it’s not often you hear about a mobile company investing big in a PC MMO. Yet, that’s exactly what’s happening here. Following a round of major investments, in the range of approximately 25 million, mobile game developer Nyou has announced Bellatores, a medieval-style MMO formerly known as Project N1.
The game, currently being built in Unreal Engine 5 will feature “live-action" visuals. It will also apparently offer a blend of play styles – survival and adventure – while also gearing players up for large-scale PvP. We’re talking about war between continents.
If all goes well, Bellatores will be released sometime this year. Although, MMO Culture speculates that what we’ll actually see will be the beta, so keep that in mind.
