New Valkyrie Class And Other Updates Coming To Lost Ark Later This Month

The Rise of the Valkyrie update for Lost Ark brings new content and enhancements for players of the free-to-play MMORPG.

Valkyrie is a new class; they are versatile divine warriors capable of both dealing damage with holy swords and providing support through protective shields. It launches on August 20 and is accompanied by its own progression event, structured as a “road/path” style event that offers exclusive rewards to participants.

Alongside Valkyrie, players will receive an additional Powerpass to help grow their rosters and explore new playstyles. This bonus Powerpass stacks with any unused passes from previous updates. The update also introduces the Mileage Shop, allowing players to convert prestige points, earned through spending royal crystals, into desirable items such as skins, MVP backgrounds, and more.

Additionally, Smilegate has prioritized faster delivery of balance changes based on player feedback, especially for support classes, and has included enhancements to Ebony Cube. Rewards from Ebony Cubes will double, but cube ticket drop rates are reduced by 50%, with the new option to convert tickets into Hell Keys via the Paradise Exchange.

The team said they have increased transparency and communication too, releasing more frequent and concise updates to keep players informed.
