Pan Studio’s Not-Gacha Character Collecting Game Duet Night Abyss Is Live
The dual-narrative adventure begins today.

After a good bit of teasing, and some significant changes, Pan Studio’s action RPG Duet Night Abyss is officially live. The game, originally designed as a standard gacha offering where players would need to roll for characters and weapons launched with a significantly different monetization plan. Yes, there’s still a gacha system. But instead players are using it to obtain cosmetic items – including cosmetics for the main character.
Prior to the game’s launch, players were allowed to pre-register. Over 15 million would-be-players signed up, securing all the available rewards from the campaign. Players who participated can log in now and claim those rewards as well as a variety of launch goodies.
The game launches with eighteen playable characters (19 if you count the main character), and a large arsenal of weapons. The adventure begins on a small island where the main character, known as the Phoxhunter and their friend live. The island has been attacked recently and all the villagers have fled, leaving these two to handle things themselves. Of course, things only get worse from there, and players must begin their journey, meeting their other companions along the way.
Duet Night Abyss is available to download on mobile devices and PC. Note that while the game is listed on Steam, it’s not available there yet. PC players will have to grab the game via it’s website or the Epic Games Store.
