If you're eagerly looking forward to Path of Exile's new content update/expansion, The Awakening, but aren't actually in the closed beta to see for yourself how it's progressing, Grinding Gear Games has got you covered!

PoE Designer Carl de Visser has been doing State of the Beta reports for a few weeks now, and his third missive details some of the major things going on behind the scenes with The Awakening's development. A new patch is going live today and has an early fix for the desync issue, and gem vendors now offer some of their goods at highly affordable rates. In addition voice acting has been added for Highgate NPCs, and jewels have seen a notable increase in power.

Most significantly, The Awakening is still on track for a late June/early July release, and de Visser is hopeful that they'll soon have added all the major new content and made the biggest changes and most of the rest of the work will be refining and balancing. If you can't get enough of progress reports -- and who can? -- check out the first and second State of the Beta reports.

Love that game but I have really hard times to introduce this game to my friends. I tried the game with atleast 8 people and everyone one of them got tired and bored within the first 1 - 2 acts. So I end up playing alone and getting bored aswell after a couple of weeks.
Hope the expansion will solve this problem somehow :(

Testing out lockstep atm, it's a shame there was a wipe along with the patch since it would give people a chance to really push it but so far it feels realy good
