Secret World Legends' holiday season is officially off and running. The game's annual Halloween event kicked off today with the release of the Cat God investigation mission and the 40-man raid where players fight the creepy pumpkin guy Jack in exchange for rewards.

For players looking to take part in the festivities, they'll find a message from Madame Roget in Kingsmouth that will call them back to investigate what's going on with the cats. There's just one thing to note here. If you're doing the investigation mission, things aren't like they were in previous years. So, unless you want your mission to get all crazy on you, do NOT follow any guides players have written before. (There's a lot of tweets on the official Twitter account about this.)

As for Jack, his raid is available once an hour on the hour. Each day you'll get a chest to open that contains a variety of Halloween goodies -- costumes, pets, etc. You'll only get one of these per day, but you can do the raid as many times as you like.

In addition, there are daily rewards available for just logging in. These are in addition to the existing daily rewards. There's also new lore and achievements to be had. More information on all of these is available on the Secret World Legends site.
