Snoop Dogg And Other Hip-Hop Artists To Bust Caps In Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 And Warzone
Activision revealed Season 5, which includes more than just the Shadow Company.
“Call of Duty is what makes the world go around.” — Snoop Dogg (He actually says “hip-hop.”)
Activision has announced that Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone will be released on August 2. The shooters' seasons will focus on the Shadow Company and its former leader, Phillip Graves. It will introduce six new operators, including Graves, Oz, and Mila, as well as some hip hop artists like Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage. There will be six new weapons too, two of which will be in the free tiers of the battle pass, with others added later through in-game challenges.
For Warzone, Season 5 will bring two new vehicles: the MRAP, a large armored vehicle for intense fights, and dirt bikes for quick two-passenger transportation. Additionally, new field upgrades will be available, including the Disguise field upgrade, Battle Revive, Self-Revive Box, and Scuba Gas Mask. Warzone will also host an in-game reveal event for Call of Duty 2023, though specific details will be unveiled later. Later in the season, new modes like Armored Royale and Fort Resurgence will be introduced.
As for Modern Warfare 2, Season 5 will include several new multiplayer maps, including Punta Mar, a brand-new map set in an evacuated tourist attraction, and Strike, a remastered map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Two Gunfight maps, Lounge, and Canal will also be available at launch, with DRC - Zone 1 coming later in the season. The update will bring a new roguelike game mode called Havoc, inspired by classic arena-shooter gameplay, but with random frenzy-inducing modifiers to change the gameplay throughout the match. Variants of Gunfight and a large-scale 20v20 Capture the Flag mode will also be part of Season 5's game modes.
