Space Punks First Major Patch

Space Punks, the free-to-play looter-shooter by Flying Wild Hog, has released their first major patch for the game since going into open beta in April. Titled "The SpOiled One," the content update debuts a new dusty and hazardous planet, game modes, changed respawn rules, and more.

Players can now explore the oily, dust-ridden planet called Spor, filled with new sights and challenges to overcome. There are new digital infections to battle across three "Get-A Job" missions and two Timed Events, such as riding the Toxicart in "Toxic Byproducts" or getting chased by an orbital laser in "Moving Target."

The devs also changed the respawn feature for all modes from "The Crack." After players lose all their hit points, they'll now die and enter Spectator Mode. Eventually, players will respawn after a countdown unless revived by a nearby teammate. However, each automatic respawn will increase the timer.

That's not the only brand-spanking new addition to player quality-of-life, though. Flying Wild Hog patched in a new HUD for all missions, put in randomized modifiers for enemies on Stopan and Bannik on higher Power Levels, and the game has received some rebalancing for crafting and other areas.

The full patch notes for "The SpOiled One" is available on the Space Punks website to learn more.
