We Speculated On Space Punks Last Week, This Week Its Closing Is Official
A neat title won't get the chance to come out of open beta.
Sometimes the universe is pretty weird. Just last week we wrote an article looking at Space Punks, the shooter game from Flying Wild Hog and Jagex. It's been months since we've heard any real news on the game, seen an update, or even saw a post in the official Discord's announcement channel.
Fans in the Discord were even speculating that the future could be grim.
Today, the Space Punks team confirmed the worst on their site and social media.

The shutdown of the game's cash shop and Epic Games storefront is effective today with the servers for the title closing on November 6th. All players who made a purchase are eligible for a refund. You can get additional information on those refunds from the official FAQ.
"Our mission is to craft games that stay close to gamers' hearts for years. We would like to express our deep gratitude to all of you who joined us on this journey, from early access to Open Beta. Your feedback has been invaluable," the team says thanking players who supported the project through its open beta.
The game's official reddit and social channels will also close on November 6th and no events are planned in-game for the closure.
