Standing Stone Games Making Big Changes To DDO's Epic Destinies
Also, you can get a load of free quests in LotRO!
The next update for Dungeons & Dragons Online is going to be a big one, with Standing Stone Games making a slew of wide-reaching changes to some of the game's primary features. These were outlined in a post on the forums this week, which included links to several longer writeups about the big changes.
Epic Destinies are getting completely reworked from the ground up, to the point that Systems Designer Lynnabel called the post describing the list of changes "a pretty crazy read." The idea is "to provide a cohesive leveling experience from levels 20-30 and beyond." To that end, you'll only be be in a maximum of three EDs at a time, and Fate Points can now be used to contribute to permanent Destiny Points in the Epic Destiny trees, at a conversion rate of three-to-one.
These changes, as well as the many others detailed in the forum post, impact several other aspects of the game. There's a long list of feat and destiny feat changes here, as well as changes to individual classes linked to in the original post.
In other Standing Stone news, you can pick up a ton of free content in The Lord of the Rings Online by using the code LOTROQUESTS2021 in the store by November 30. That will net you 26 quest and region packs for nothing, and you can also enjoy a discount on another eight expansion quests and instance cluster bundles, which have been discounted to 99 cents apiece. The full list for both deals can be found here.
