LotRO’s Update 45 Implements A “Big Update” For The Ettenmoors
The changes include a Siege mechanic and are intended to alter the gameplay.

If the patch notes for Lord of the Rings Online’s Update 45 are anything to go by, things are going to get interesting. The update makes “significant changes” to the Ettenmoors, including the introduction of a Siege mechanic. According to the post, the changes are “far-reaching” and intended to “alter the gameplay” with “fluid events that can influence and tip the scale of battle”. Other new mechanics include introducing rewards for taking towers, new relics, and new vendors.
In addition, Update 45 kicks off Season 2 of the Monster Player Reward Track, available through the LotRO store. The track isn’t active just yet, so players will need to keep an eye out for an announcement.
Other content added in the MMORPG's update includes another expansion of Birding. The feature now includes the lands of Mordor and Gondor, with more than 120 new birds being found in nine territories. Discovering all the birds in certain territories will earn players rewards like house decorations.
As for other changes, Hunter and Burglar have both received a lot – and we do mean a lot – of adjustments. The full list of changes for both, as well as smaller changes for other jobs and PvMP can be found in the patch notes.
