Star Trek Online Players Can Now Convert Dilithium To Tokens
You can stop sitting on that pile of Dilithium and put it to use.
Starting today, Star Trek Online players can begin converting their excess Dilithium to either Personal Endeavor Reroll Tokens or Admiralty Assignment Pass Tokens. This new change is part of Cryptic’s effort to improve “the long-term health of the game’s economy” by helping to stabilize it.
Before now, players had to earn these tokens through direct engagement with specific systems and even then, they were random rewards that may or may not have dropped with other items. Now, players can simply trade their Dilithium for them. In fact, from here on out, the tokens will no longer be included as rewards. Instead, players can purchase them for 2,500 Dilithium each.
Don’t worry. Any tokens you’ve already earned are still yours.
It should also be noted that this change has only been implemented on the PC platform as of today. Console players – as always – have a bit of a wait. The new system will kick in on Xbox and PlayStation on September 8.
