Plunder: Scourge of the Sea Ship

Pirate Survival MMO Plunder: Scourge of the Sea took to Reddit today to show off what they have so far and ask for your feedback and ideas of what would make a good Pirate Survival MMO.

The project started around 2019 when lead developer Nick asked "How hard can it be?" to make a pirate survival MMO like Plunder: Scourge of the Sea. Nick says they don't want to force players into a single view of gameplay, and players can choose between doing quests, discovering islands, gathering resources for crafting, customizing their character and ship, or just roaming the open world showing off their riches.

There are different sized ships, including a small one-player raft, all the way up to ships that can accommodate 10-20 players. There are also items to plunder in three categories. Plundered items are found from other players or found across the high seas and can be stolen. Quest items are safe from being plundered, and Insured items are converted Plundered Items that insure you keep them when dying to players or NPCs.

Players can venture from island to island, with some being safe sanctuaries from the dangers of the open sea, while others are infested with hungering pirates. Players will choose a faction to join, and spend their days fighting the other faction or taking on scourge NPCs.

Plunder: Scourge of the Sea is looking for feedback from you, the potential players of the pirate survival game. Already being discussed are features such as fishing. You can check out the Reddit post to find out more and offer your ideas directly to the lead developer.
