SWTOR's Giant Rishi Stronghold Update Delayed Another Week
Update 5.9.2 for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a.k.a. "Galactic Legend," a.k.a. "the one with the huge hideout" is, like the second Death Star, still under construction. The team at BioWare has pushed back its launch to Aug. 7, and it's that giant hideout, the Rishi Stronghold, that's causing most of the major issues.
As detailed by Creative Director Charles Boyd on the SWTOR forums, the two main issues that still need testing are the ability to toggle PvP on and off and decorations inconsistently blocking line-of-sight in the PvP areas. That second one tickles my funny bone a bit -- who needs a lightsaber to block incoming blaster bolts when you could just put a fancy vase in the way?
It's not all bad news, though. Boyd said that, thanks to the added time, the dev team will be able to implement a new area in the Rishi Stronghold, the Overlook, meeting testers' requests for a "more 'home-y' space," as he put it. After all, home is where the Hutt is.
