Take To The High Seas In Upcoming F2P Game Naval Action Legends
If World of Warships is a little too modern for you and you're yearning for some old-school naval action, why not check out ... well, Naval Action? That's a $40 game on Steam, but developer Game-Labs has recently announced a free-to-play version of the game, Naval Action Legends, also set in the age of wooden sailing ships and black powder.
Unlike its parent game, Naval Action Legends doesn't its own website yet, instead using the Game-Labs message board and YouTube to spread the news of the game. That thread and the roadmap video offer a goodly amount of insight into what the game will be like, including 24 ships at launch, instanced battles, and a promise to "avoid shady practices" of many F2P games.
The lead developer apparently worked on World of Tanks, so expect many of the same concepts to be a part of his new free-to-play game. He's taking input on that thread, so if the game looks good to you and you disagree with any of his points, take the time to make your voice heard.
