A new highly stylized MMORPG known as Skyforge was announced today by Allods Team, in collaboration with Obsidian Entertainment. With an open class system that makes for limitless character development, destiny is yours to forge in this immersive and gigantic upcoming universe.

Skyforge is sci-fi meets fantasy as ancient deities battle within a realm of cutting-edge technology. Players start as an immortal, collecting followers and powers in order to gradually work their way up to champion, and eventually becoming a god themselves. Combat in Skyforge is promised to be dynamic, as its mechanics are based off styles commonly found in console action games.

Oleg Shpilchevsky, The Allods Team’s Head of Development Studio, said “This is our most ambitious project to date. With players competing and cooperating on one single giant server, Skyforge brings the massive back to MMORPGs.”

Beta sign-ups are now available on the the official website.

Michael Dunaway has been part of the MMOBomb team for years and has covered practically every major Free-to-Play title since 2009. In addition to contributing First Look videos and news articles, Michael also serves as the Community Manager for the upcoming MMORPG, Skyforge.

  1. eeeeeeeek one thing i want to know is if by allods team, they mean gpotato. If so this game is not even worth your time. I played allods on and off since cbt and it is the definition of pay to win. I remember 1 guy spent $10,000 on getting high lvl runes and pat 5. Could easily take on a team of 10 or more. Ganked us with his wallet e.e

  2. No Assassin/Rogue = No play. Getting tired of this crappy trend of not including a Rogue class in games and instead putting in a Warrior and a Tank as if one doesn’t do the others job 90% of the time.

  3. It won’t let me sign up for the beta. Every time I try entering my user info/password/code it tells me the entered code is invalid even though it matches it exactly

  4. watch?v=NPd0Hsnt74w

Last year video pre-alpha graphics during the production phase or implementation if you well, i just didn’t know it will turn out into such an eye candy…. just wow.

  5. wow trailer looks epic then again trailers usually do that i just hope(like everyone else)that allods team doesnt f… this up it would be a shame i will defenetly try this when i get the chance

  6. Very interesting, especially as they have Obsidian on board, who are an absolutely fantastic developer (except for their Q&A department XD). Gonna keep my eye out for this one, I expect good things.

  7. This sounds awesome. The classes and gameplay in allods is great! The only thing that stops me from playing is its pay to win. Hopefully this will not be. either way i think it will be a great game.

    • Same here, Allods had a lot of what i craved for in an mmorpg… and it was made not by Koreans to boot… and then those blasted publishers soiled it with p2w… i hope those bastards die very slow and agonizing deaths for that -_-
Allods was a baby project made by Russians (as you probably well aware Russians ain’t big on making mmos and that is one of the things that makes an mmo made by them very unique) using elements of THEIR history (yes, for once it wasn’t Korean history or American history or whatever history we usually get fed by all those generic mmos.. which made it bleedin’ fun and gave it amazing and powerful immersion atmosphere)
Sigh~ my one and only hope is that this time the devs won’t let another piece of crap of a p2w publishing company to get their filthy claws on their baby, seriously.
