The Illithid Invasion Event Begins Today In Dungeons & Dragons Online With Update 63's Launch
Players must fight Illithids through Reaper difficulty dungeons.
And so begins the Illithid Invasion.
Update 63 for Dungeons & Dragons Online drops today, marking the beginning of a new event in the MMORPG. In Illithid Invasion, players are tasked with stopping powerful and unusual Illithids throughout the world by scouring Reaper difficulty dungeons. Defeating these invaders unlocks new quests crucial to thwarting their sinister plan. (The dungeons remain accessible after the event ends, too.)
This update also introduces four extreme challenge dungeon quests: Pilgrims' Peril, Stolen Power, Horde of the Illithid Controller, and Astral Ambush — all available at Level 34 and playable only on Legendary difficulty. Players can speak to Omryn Cedarbrook in the Clifftop Tower District of Sharn to learn more about these quests.
Additionally, the update introduces the Deck of Many Curses — allowing players to collect cards, create decks, and apply mysterious curses to their equipment. Cards can be found in end chests throughout the Illithid Invasion quests. They can turn cards into decks and add random effects to their items.
