The Smite X RuneScape Crossover Is Almost Here, And Damn Does It Look Cute
There's some awesome looking skins in here if you want a retro feel.
It’s been months since Titan Forge Games first teased a Smite and RuneScape crossover. In fact, it’s been long enough that I can’t remember if we decided to not cover it at the time since it was so far out or if we did cover it and I’ve just forgotten the name of the article. Or maybe it was a bit of an, “Oh, this is happening too”, comment in a different Smite post. (EDITOR'S NOTE: It was the latter) Either way. It’s been a while.
None of that really matters now, however, because the event is almost upon us. Titan Forge dropped a video today announcing the launch date of the crossover event. That’s November 15, for those of you wondering. Aside from being cute, the video shows off some of the skins players will be able to get their hands on. These are designed to have that old polygon-heavy 3D model feel and include King Black Dragon Cerberus, Rune Armor Bellona, Wise Old Man Merlin, Gnome Child Vamana, and Blessed Dragonhide Neith. If the video is anything to go by, it looks like players might be able to keep their weapon skins when not in the full skin, but it is a cinematic, so take that into account.
