Throne And Liberty Hyperboost

Throne and Liberty’s September update offers players a lot of new content. Some of it, like the new player housing, we were able to get more information on as part of an interview. Other things, we got a bit less information on. One of these was the Hyperboost system the devs are bringing in to help players, old and returning, catch up in the game.

We know the system will be server-specific and that players will need to create a new character to join them. We also know that the Adventure Codex is being used as the main progression tool for gear. But that’s about all the details we were able to get at the time.

Now, we have more information on the system coming to the free-to-play MMORPG as the devs shared a deep dive on the game’s website and Steam Page. The post covers how the system will work and the benefits it will provide players, aside from just leveling quickly. This includes things like increasing the acquisition rate of items like gear enhancement materials, as well as special rewards that can be obtained via Growth Support Missions.

The post also explains how Hyperboost will “accelerate growth, while preserving the essence of the TL experience”. In essence, Hyperboost is designed so that players are able to move through content more quickly in a way that allows them to interact with it in an engaging way. Obviously, the idea is not for players to just blow past content.

As for endgame content, the creation of new servers will make everything fresh and new players won’t be at a disadvantage to those who have been playing for a while. This also means that, ideally, now is a good time for new players to hop in.
