Operation High Stakes Brings Denari And Major Updates To Rainbow Six Siege
Year 10 Season 3 includes new defender, modernized maps, and stronger anti-cheat measures.
Rainbow Six Siege enters Year 10 Season 3 with “Operation High Stakes,” a major update that combines new content, reworked maps, and anti-cheat enhancements designed to elevate the overall experience for players of the free-to-play shooter.
Denari is a new 3-speed Defender who introduces a unique tactical twist. Denari’s gadget, the T.R.I.P. Connector, projects damaging and electrifying laser grids to block enemy pushes. He’s got access to the Scorpion EVO3, FMG9, and a Glaive-12 slug shotgun. Denari can be unlocked instantly through the Premium Battle Pass or purchased individually after two weeks.
Three popular maps — Lair, Nighthaven Labs, and Consulate — also return with visual and gameplay improvements. These modernized versions feature updated textures, lighting, and interactive elements such as destructible gas pipes.
Ubisoft is doubling down on its anti-cheat measures as well. ShieldGuard receives smarter updates, and MouseTrap’s next iteration will target recoil tampering later this season, reinforcing fairness and integrity in matches.
Balancing changes include magnified scopes being removed from several Defenders (like Doc, Frost, and Echo), except for those using DMRs or slug shotguns. This move aims to limit long-range dominance by Defenders and encourage more strategic positioning.
