Toy Warfare Returns As Part Of World Of Tanks’ Holiday Festivities
Fight in snow-covered arenas during the Winter Raid event.

It’s tiny. It’s cute. It’s sometimes pink. And yet, it’s somehow still a battle. Beginning Thursday, December 11, the Winter Raid event will kick off in World of Tanks, bringing the battle to the land of toys.
During the event, which will last until December 22, players of the free-to-play military shooter will be fighting on snowy maps in 5v5v5 matches. During the match, they’ll not only need to defeat their enemies and survive, but they’ll also be gathering gifts left out on the battlefield. Bringing these gifts safely back to home base will provide teams with even more points. It’s also important to be aware of changing elements during the battle, such as snowstorms. Teams can secure victory by collecting 50 gifts or just holding out to the end while having the most points.
The event introduces two new maps to the game: Gift Factory and Paperspace. The former is designed around the central courtyard of a factory where most gifts appear. Paperspace is three floating islands that can be captured. Capturing these islands allows teams to place defense towers. Of course, event vehicles will be available as well.
Taking part in Winter Raid battles will earn players Gift Coins that are used to determine progression. As players progress, they’ll be able to collect a variety of rewards. Keep in mind that extra Gift Coins can be earned by completing the daily Random Battle missions. More details on the event are available on the World of Tanks site.
