ArenaNet Celebrates 25 Years With A Making Of Guild Wars Documentary
The video will offer insight into what went into making the popular IP.
You might have missed it, but ArenaNet, developer of the free-to-play MMORPG Guild Wars 2, turned 25 earlier this year. The company’s actual anniversary was back in March and was probably easy to miss because developers typically celebrate game anniversaries instead. For reference, the first Guild Wars entry dropped in April of 2005.
To celebrate the anniversary, ArenaNet announced a documentary created with the help of Second Wind. The video will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the company and what went into creating the Guild Wars 2 franchise using personal stories, archival footage, and more. Those interested can watch the film beginning December 10 at 7:00 PM on the Guild Wars 2 YouTube Channel. In the meantime, the developer has shared a sneak peek trailer, which can be viewed below.
