MU Online SEA Server Changes

As of Tuesday, March 22, publisher Asiasoft is no longer handling service for Webzen’s classic MMO MU Online. Instead, the game's developer will be handling publishing in Southeast Asia. This means that from here on out, SEA players will receive all support from Webzen. The same team will also handle events, contests, and tournaments, which will all be handled via the Webzen.com game portal.

As a result of this change, existing MU SEA players will need to apply for a game data transfer in order to keep playing. The company has launched two new servers to accommodate the SEA community: Noatun and Jotunheim. Players can transfer their characters, equipment, in-game currency, and all other related items to either of these servers between now and June 21st. All existing data from the original servers will be transferred to the player's new account upon completion. To complete the transfer, players will need to visit Webzen's MU Online site.

In addition to the transfers, Webzen is also welcoming all the new players with giveaways and various goodies, simply for completing their transfer. There is one catch. The process needs to be completed by April 12. Players who complete the process on time will receive items such as the Perishing Wing Box, a Gold Channel Ticket, and a scroll package.

There will also be an in-game event in which players can collect elemental symbols from the monsters in Temple of Arnil and Gray Aida to combine into Superior Pentagram and Mystery Parts. During this time, Chaos Castle, Blood Castle, and Devil Square rewards will be doubled. Guardian Upgrade stones provided from NPC Moss will also have a doubled drop rate. If that’s not enough, players will also receive XP boosts, enjoy the benefits of a monster HP decrease, and receive even more free gifts.
