Former Titanfall And Apex Legends Devs Announce New PvP Raid Shooter, Highguard, At The Game Awards
About six weeks before it’s due to launch.

If you’ve been wondering what some of the folks behind Apex Legends and Titanfall have been up to lately, the answer is apparently secretly creating a game under the banner of a new company, Wildlight Entertainment – a free-to-play PvP shooter that’s almost ready to launch. In fact, the game was revealed tonight during The Game Awards, and players can expect to be able to play it on January 26.
The game, titled Highguard, casts players in the role of a Warden – “arcane gunslingers sent to battle for control of a mythical continent”. Wardens work together in crews to fight other Warden crews for control of something known as the “Shieldbreaker”, which they can then use to break into the enemy’s base and take their territory.
When it launches, Highguard will be available on all the usual suspects. That’s Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. PC players can wishlist the game on Steam now.
