World Of Warships: Legends Celebrates 3rd Anniversary With Another Five-Week Campaign And Tier VIII Ships
Quite a big birthday celebration for Wargaming's young console title.
World of Warships: Legends, the console version of Wargaming's naval military MMO series, celebrates three years of service with a big birthday update today. The game introduces 14 new Tier VIII class ships and rolls out another five-week, 100-milestone campaign months after the Pride of Prussia operation.
The first wave of Tier VIII ships is now available for fans to earn with 12 of them obtainable through the tech tree. The 12 ships will represent various countries, such as the USA, Japan, Germany, and USSR. However, the remaining two Tier VIII ships from Germany and France can be found in the Auction and at the end of the L’Ambassadeur Campaign. Wargaming is prepping its next wave of Tier VIII ships as the year progresses and will become available for players to get through other means, like the in-game Bureau and Store.
While August 12 marks World of Warships: Legends' third anniversary, Wargaming is bringing in-game activities to fans early. Players will receive an anniversary present by logging in to the game, get a chance to participate in a web event, and more as the day approaches. There are also two new projects coming that will expand the offerings of the Research Bureau: a celebratory anniversary project and another centered on the legendary French cruiser Colbert.
In addition to the big celebration is another five-week, 100-milestone style campaign. Players can take on the L’Ambassadeur Campaign and gain the new Tier VIII French Premium battleship Republique, sporting eight 17-inch guns and a solid Anti-Air suite. As usual, the new campaign establishes a new stand of in-game rewards that awards players with the highest ranked non-legendary tiered ships.
