Zombie Survivor Game Unturned Drops New Content Update, Overhauls Game’s Style And Gameplay
There’s a new map, and it’s not just zombies you have to watch out for here.
Today, Unturned developer Smartly Dressed Games dropped a fresh content update, adding a new zone to the game while shaking things up a bit. The new zone, Arid, is a desert map and adds multiple tiers of deadzone as well as more than 800 new items to the game. It also adds unique crafting, looting, and bartering systems.
In Arid, Zombies aren’t the only problem. There’s also that tricky issue of abandoned military-grade explosives that could really disrupt your day. Items necessary to survive here include not only a gas mask but a biohazard suit and NVGs. The good news is that NPC quests will offer a way to unlock some of these necessary items via blueprints. After that, provided you can get your hands on the materials, you can keep crafting them and trade or sell them to other players.
As noted, Arid is an appropriately named desert area. This means it’s barren and difficult to survive in, but there is one other thing that will help keep you alive: The Bus Driver, who will take you where you need to go. This means you won’t just be wandering across Arid looking for that oasis you may never find.
