A New Type Of Borg Invades Star Trek Online In September’s Incursion Update
Things are heating up for the game’s 30th Season.
Star Trek Online is about to kick off the MMORPG's 30th season with the drop of the Incursion update. When it hits on September 12, it will introduce a new Borg threat for players to defend against. The good news is that they won’t be doing it alone, a mysterious new ally will be there to help.
Incursion is the next chapter in STO’s Multiverse storyline. After the issue with the Tholians and the accidental tearing of the Reality Vortex, a new vortex has appeared. Located on Starbase One, this vortex is the perfect door for the Borg to come through. Players will need to work with Captain Harry Kim, Captain Kuumaarke, and Kim’s new astrophysicist, Commander Erin Macdonald, to deal with the Borg.
The new update will include a new episode and two new TFOs as well as the Season 30 event, Borg Tesseract. Playing the event will earn players a new ground set and a new Starfleet Protostar Uniform.
